I first fell in love with Sylvanian Families at the age of 10, when I received my first Sylvanians in a box of old toys from a neighbour. I remember being taken by the details of the furniture, and the cute, sweet faces of the Sylvanian rabbits. I now know that the rabbits I received were the Periwinkle rabbit family, and the house was the Meadowcroft cottage.

During 2022, as an adult, I came across the Sylvanian families ‘Vegetable Garden’ set. the details and intricate pieces instantly reminded me of the love I had for sylvanian families as a child. So I did it, I ordered the vegetable garden set.

When the set arrived and I opened it, it immediately gave me the fuzzy feeling I felt as a child when I received my first ever Sylvanian.

Ever since then, I have been collecting Sylvanian families as an adult. My favourite sets are the ‘vintage’ sets from the early 2000’s, as to me, these embody the most spirit of what sylvania families should be.
